The best part of Windows 95.
I doodled. And inspiration stopped there. I don’t know what else to do with this.
Cottleston, Cottleston, Cottleston Pie,
A fly can’t bird, but a bird can fly.
Ask me a riddle and I reply:
“Cottleston, Cottleston, Cottleston Pie.”
I had another one of my flashbacks today. Got on the computer, landed on the YouTube homepage and they had suggested a few videos I should watch. One of them was the video for Cypress Hill’s “How I Could Just Kill a Man” and immediately I was taken back to when I was a kid living in south Augusta and my best friend ran over to the house with this brand new CD that was like everything we were listening to, but different.
And I drifted from that memory to a little bit earlier in the 80’s when I was living in Indianapolis, Indiana, and my best friend there had invited me to go along with him and his father to the store and I remembered coming across a CD by a group called Suicidal Tendencies and I thought the name and the cover looked cool. And so that was the CD I bought.
Cypress Hill’s first single and many other songs by many other artists have included little quips of the music or, most commonly, the lyrics in their songs. How many times have you heard “All I wanted was a Pepsi. Just one Pepsi.” in a song?
Good times.
Somehow came across the Vimeo website and saw this. It reminded me of when I was younger and would fill my sketchbooks up with themes or my version of a graphic novel. It’s been a long time since I was a teenager and doing drawings like that.. kind of inspiring, too.
Watching the Indianapolis 500. Reminds me of being a kid in Indy
